• Zero data retention. When you use the Grade AI hardware appliance or an isolated private VPS deployment to scan and analyze student assignments, none of that data is transmitted to, stored by, or accessible to Grade AI corporate servers.
• No AI training on your data.We do not use your students' exams, answers, or custom rubrics to train, retrain, or fine-tune our base AI models.
• FERPA and institutional compliance. Because your student data is processed entirely within your controlled local hardware or securely isolated tenant environment, using Grade AI inherently fulfills the strictest institutional security and FERPA requirements.

For users participating in our cloud tier, data is processed on secure, encrypted servers strictly to generate your immediate grading results. It is never sent to external third-party APIs and is never used for model training.

2. Website privacy

This section applies only to information you voluntarily provide when visiting gradeai.us — for example, signing up for a waitlist, requesting a demo, or reaching out via a contact form.
